Drawings, sections and specifications are the best basis for pricing. At an early stage, dimensions, a sketch, photographs and a clear access note are enough for a first review.

The complete concrete work cycle
A cubic-metre rate does not describe the full package. Work may include preparation, formwork, reinforcement, cast-in items, concrete supply, pumping, placement, vibration, finishing and curing.

Main cost drivers
Complexity, access, working height, the number of pours, crew productivity and the required finish all affect cost. Small quantities with difficult access usually have a higher unit cost than repeatable structures with continuous supply.
